To appreciate nature and be in harmony with it. This was our guiding principle when we built our La Paula Apartments & Suites in Seis am Schlern. The focus was on sustainability, which is why we chose to use local raw materials from regional suppliers: wood from our forests, exposed concrete, stone... As a result, the building is characterised by a minimalist, straightforward, and elegant design.

Our natural philosophy is also reflected in the kitchen of our residence near the Seiser Alm – whether it’s the bread or meat from the local butcher. And, of course, the most popular ingredients are regional and in season. After all, there is nothing better than doing something good for yourself and, at the same time, treating nature with the respect it deserves.

The Hans and Paula Steger Foundation was founded in 2000. Since then, it has supported charitable projects and nature conservation on the Seiser Alm.

Environmentally conscious thinking - protecting our environment. And give our guests a holiday with a clear conscience. These are our goals at La Paula. And we do everything we can, to realise them every day. We are proud and grateful to be able to announce that we have achieved the highest level of sustainability Level 3 in South Tyrol and we have also received the international sustainability certificate GSTC.

This success reinforces our commitment and motivates us to continue resolutely on our path towards a sustainable future.

We give our contribution to...

: Tap water comes directly from the Alpine pasture and is drinking water of the highest quality. We want to protect this precious resource.
Our taps are equipped with water-saving fittings. These mix air into the water, give the water jet a pleasant volume, make it softer and reduce water consumption by 40 per cent.
We also encourage you to do without plastic bottles. Each room is equipped with a water carafe, allowing you to drink fresh water at any time.
: LED lighting throughout the house helps us reduce consumption, and the electricity we need is green, largely from our rooftop photovoltaic system.
: The entire house is cleaned exclusively with steam and thus without the use of chemicals. Steam kills 100% of bacteria and germs, protecting surfaces and materials and, above all, the environment.
: We attach great importance to waste management, in particular to waste separation and reduction. In the kitchen you will find special containers, so please help us out and make your contribution. Furthermore, we do not use disposable items throughout the house, the bathrooms are equipped with ‘Zero Waste’ cosmetics from the South Tyrolean Team Dr Joseph line, and we are happy to consciously dispense with bath slippers.
: Brixen and Bozen are well connected and easily accessible by train. We will be happy to help you organise your journey to Seis. For your environmentally friendly journey by electric car, you will find 2 charging points in our garage. And the best of it: We will reward your eco trip with a gift!
